Canyon VoIP products tested in Croatia

3 Canyon Platinum VoIP products tested in the October issue of the Croatian magazine VIDI VIDI_logo

In this test 6 VoIP products were examined including Canyon's CNP-VT1, CNP-VTW1 and the CN-VS1 . Next to Canyon the Croatian magazine VIDI also tested products from Philips, EB and Planet. CNP-VT1

About the CNP-VT1 VIDI wrote the following:

"Small one but it turns you on - It's one of the smallest and lightest VoIP telephones on the market. It feels good holding the phone in your hand. Thanks to the rubberized surface it both feels nice and gives you a good grip. Front side of the phone has a beautiful elegant silver style and a pleasantly big key pad that is excellent for every day usage. The screen is in color and it is quite good although it's small. We were thinking that most entry level VoIP phones will look and act like toys, but Canyon's model doesn't give you that feeling at all. Another reason for our recommendation is its great price.
So the price together with its great look are the benefits of this model."

VIDI stated about the CNP-VTW1 : CNP-VTW1

"Older twin brother - This model is similar to the other Platinum Series VoIP phone. It shares all benefits and advantages except that this model also has a wireless Bluetooth 1.2 technology with a range up to 30 meters indoors. Unlike the already mentioned model, this one has a Lithium-ion battery which enables the phone to operate for 6 hours or to be in stand-by mode for 3 days. In the package we also find an USB cable and Bluetooth cradle which makes it easy for everyday usage. This phone works on 2.4 GHz and it became active right after inserting the driver that was also in the package. Besides Skype, you can also use this phone for Yahoo and MSN messenger. The phone has 5 tones and 10 melodies which makes this model interesting for a broad range of customers."

VIDI also tested the CN-VS1 and came to the following conclusion: CN-VS1

"3rd dimension station - Although we can't call this device an actual VoIP telephone, we did put it in our review because of its unique design and look. By connecting a headset and installing the driver, you will get most functions a regular VoIP phone offers. The test model worked great with our Skype account. Elegancy, the color and its incredible design make this device different to others. Several hot keys are on the front side and several USB connections are on the rear so it's easy to connect the VoIP station to your PC or USB device.
Simplicity and a great design make this device great and different."
